Want to create better content on LinkedIn?
...Here's my proven process!
Creating content on LinkedIn isn’t just about posting regularly!
It’s about knowing what to post.
Staring at a blank page can be frustrating.
You want to share insights that resonate with your audience, but it’s hard to know what will actually grab attention.

So, instead of relying on random inspiration, you can build a system to consistently find fresh, engaging ideas.
I use Tapilo for this.
It integrates with LinkedIn, helping me identify trending posts, emerging themes, and new opportunities for content.
This makes it easy to tap into what’s working right now, so you can start creating relevant and engaging content right away.
Here’s how you can do it too:
First, install Tapilo’s Chrome extension.
Then, go to LinkedIn, open the Tapilo overlay, and head to the “Trending Posts” section.
With this, you stop wasting time scrolling.
Instead, you see the top content in your industry, ready for you to dive into.

Step 2: Content Discovery
Now, it’s time to find the best content ideas.
I break this process into four steps.
✅ Industry Trend Identification
I set Tapilo’s filters to Engagement > 1K and look at the past 7 days.
This helps me spot the topics that are truly resonating.
For example, if several posts cover the same topic like a new regulation or a popular tool, it’s clear it’s trending.
✅ Competitor Content Analysis
Next, I follow the top ten influencers in my industry.
Tapilo shows me which of their posts are getting the most engagement.
I bookmark these to understand why they worked.
This isn’t about copying, but about finding successful patterns I can adapt.
✅ Audience Insight Gathering
I also look for recurring keywords and themes in the comments.
Are people excited, skeptical, or looking for more information?
These insights tell me what people care about and how they feel about it.
✅ Content Gap Identification
Then, I compare the trends I’ve found with my own recent posts.
Have I covered these topics already?
Have I used formats like polls or carousels that are working for others?
This helps me find gaps where I can add fresh content.

Step 3: Idea Validation
Not all ideas are worth pursuing. I run each one through three simple questions:
Does it speak to my ideal customer?
Has it worked in the past for my audience?
Does it fit my brand’s story?
If it doesn’t check all three boxes, I move on. This keeps my content focused and strategic.
Step 4: Export to Notion
After narrowing down to 10-15 ideas, I export them to my Notion idea board.
I include links to the original posts that inspired me.
This way, when I’m ready to write, I can revisit the tone and context of the successful posts.
This keeps my content ideas organized and easy to access.
Step 5: Quality Control
Every week, I do a quick review of my idea board.
I remove anything that doesn’t feel on-brand or relevant anymore.
I also ask a colleague or editor to check the ideas for tone and messaging.
This step ensures the ideas I move forward with are aligned with my brand and audience needs.
The challenge of creating standout content isn’t about having the perfect idea.
It’s about having the right system to spot them.

By using Tapilo’s trend insights and combining them with competitor research and audience understanding, it is easy now!
As trends evolve and your audience grows, this workflow will scale with you.
Over time, you’ll not only keep your content fresh, but also build a strategy that’s sustainable, scalable, and aligned with your goals.
Content creation can feel less like a challenge and more like a well-oiled process.
Do give it a try and let me know how it goes.
Until next time,
Karthick Raajha.
